interesting. originally the idea of the word i had in mind, was that the bamboos had been uprooted and bound together, and suspended mid-air. at the same time being bound, they were still strong, being "bound together", you know the "easy to break one arrow but hard to break ten arrows story". something like that.
but you seem to have a different interpretation of course!

actually, i didn't even notice there could be a sense of claustrophobia - maybe *u* have a repressed psyche since u saw it! ;)
rather - it's a tangle of mess, with some weird order in it. which is what i think my life is like.
the title you gave the picture is "Bound", which strongly implies an impenetrable boundary?
but i agree with your description of the weird order. i hope it is not too weird though, otherwise it'd freak me out. :>
